PRESENTATIONS
"Social Engineering and Capabilities/Threats from Abroad" David Musgrove
Will focus on what trends the FBI is seeing and how we investigate threats to the national infrastructure, from a Criminal, Counterterrorism, and Counterintelligence position. How your employees pose the greatest threat to your networks.
The community of computer users is constantly being requested to comply with an array of both technical requirements and behavioral modifications in the name of increased security. The goal of this presentation is to provide the community with both an understanding of why these requests are made as well as the risks incurred when they are ignored. Having a plausible and reasonable explanation associated with a request greatly enhances the compliance and ultimately the organizations security.
Understand why technology implementations alone do not equal security. Effective processes and a "security aware" constituency are critical components to a holistic security posture. Christopher will review which assets within an organization are threatened, by whom and for what purpose. Lastly, Christopher will present the key ingredients in creating and maintaining a Strategic Security Approach. Attendees will leave this session with an understanding that security is a challenge, which is addressable.
